bike the country side × enjoy Craft brew from along the OREGON trail

Ride through scenic Clackamas County then drink your way through the great North American adventure at the Oregon Trail Brew Fest.

Join us at the 1st annual Oregon Trail Bike & Brew. The ride departs from the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive & Visitor Center in Oregon City. We're offering three distance loops (62 miles, 45 miles and 25 miles) traveling south onto country roads and back into town. The ride will feature 'exploration' of The Oregon Trail at each rest stop and each rider will celebrate a great ride with entrance into the Oregon City Brew Fest!

Our scenic route has been carefully selected with the help of several avid cyclists. The ride mirrors moderately, steep hills and rolling Willamette Valley topography the settlers would have experienced. This moderate, mid-season metric century ride is ideal for beginning century riders, triathletes and long distance riders wanting to build for later or more difficult rides.

ROUTE Overview

The route begins at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive & Visitor Center with cyclists heading south on Washington Street and navigating a couple fairly, steep climbs on your way south into Canby. Cyclists will travel on the fly-over in Canby which will position them closely to the first rest stop at Legacy Park. Experiences of the pioneers along The Oregon Trail will be revealed at this rest stop and each one to follow. Next, participants travel onto beautiful rural roads on their way to Molalla. The Metric Century cyclists will not only pass by rich agricultural lands but will also pedal through Molalla, Home of the Buckeroo! Along the way, signs will point out key tourism and heritage sites for our participants. The return route will take cyclists near Hubbard, back into Canby and then return through the Historic McLoughlin Neighborhood. A celebration will be awaiting them in Downtown Oregon City!
